Bluetooth Low Energy Addon Card

This add on carrier card adds Bluetooth low energy compatibility to NLED controllers over a transparent UART, also called a 'serial bridge'. This allows for a phone or other Bluetooth device to interface and control NLED controllers and products. A Microchip RN4871 module allows easy implementation of Bluetooth to devices with only serial inputs. There are many ways to interface with this type of module using Bluetooth protocols, such as GATT.

A NLED branded iOS and Android phone application will allow interface with this device. Release date on that is TBD.

The modules are expensive, if you would like to source your own, the carrier boards without a module installed can also be purchased. Due to the cost of keeping them in inventory, there may be a lead time on this product to allow time to order additional modules.

Usage:

• Set the NLED controller's Expansion Header or other communication method to 'Serial Command Mode'
• Set the 'Serial Baud Rate' to 115200
